How do I add a crop protection plan to my operation?
Overview
Enter your crop protection activities in Granular Insights and be one step closer towards establishing one, collaborative system of record for capturing work done on the farm. Manually enter planned and completed crop protection activities while in your office using Granular Insights on the web, or quickly and easily on the go with the mobile app.
Requirements
- A Granular Insights operation with field boundaries
- An active internet connection
Process - Web
- Log in to Granular Insights for Canada at https://ca.insights.granular.ag.
- Click Activities on the left navigation menu.
- Find the field where you would like to add a crop protection plan. Click on the arrow to the right of Activities to expand your selection and reveal the Add Activity button.
- Click the Add Activity button and select Crop Protection.

You can now add a Crop Protection activity. Choose between a mix or a single product and provide the product rate. When finished select Save.
- Note: You can create either a Planned or Completed activity by expanding the arrow to the right of each header. Learn more on how to copy planned activities to completed here.
Process - Mobile
- Log in to the Granular Insights mobile app.
- Open the navigation menu and click Fields.
- Click the button and select Add Activity.
- Select Crop Protection.

Once a field and crop are selected, choose a single product or mix as well as a product rate and click Save.
- Note: you will only be able to select a mix if you already have custom mixes created for your operation. If you need to create a custom mix, that will need to be done on Granular Insights on the web.
