How do I find a field using geographic coordinates?
Overview
Track field conditions and make informed management decisions by using geographic coordinates to add fields to your operation so you can view your historical and in-season satellite imagery.
Requirements
- An active Granular Insights account and access to an operation
- An active internet or cellular connection
- Access to a smartphone or computer
Process - Web
- Log in to Granular Insights for Canada at https://ca.insights.granular.ag.
- In the Field List on the left navigation menu, click Add Field.
- Enter the geographic coordinates into the search bar in the upper right corner using the format of latitude, longitude.
- Use an online converter if the coordinates aren't already in decimal format
- Select or draw the field boundary.
- Enter a field name on the left navigation menu and click Save Field.
Process - Mobile
- Open the Granular Insights mobile app.
- Click Add Field.
- Enter the geographic coordinates into the search bar using the format of latitude, longitude.
- Use an online converter if the coordinates aren't already in decimal format
- Select or draw the field boundary.
- Enter a field name and click Save Field.
