Getting Started: Satellite Imagery
It can take up to 48 hours for captured images to become available in Granular Insights. Our team is working tirelessly to reduce image processing time.
For newly mapped or edited field boundaries, it can also take up to 48 hours for historical imagery to process.
How many images do I get per week?
Multiple images are captured and processed through several algorithms to ensure only the highest quality images are delivered to you. You can expect high-frequency images from Granular Insights, depending on cloud coverage and weather conditions. If an image has greater than 5% cloud coverage, it will be identified with a cloud icon on the website and mobile app.
When are the in-season images of my field taken and are they taken at the same time each day?
Granular Insights uses in-season images captured from the world's largest constellation of satellites at 3-metre resolution, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., daily. Although satellites orbit the Earth every 90 minutes, we will only use images taken approximately around these times to take advantage of peak sun angle, delivering only the highest quality images.
