How do I add and edit farm names for my fields?

Overview

Add farm names to your fields to provide more detail and organization for your Field List. With farm names assigned to your fields, you can sort your Field List alphabetically by farm and then field name.

Farm names can be assigned to fields in Insights using either the web or mobile application. New farm names can only be created for your operation on the web.

Requirements

  • An active Granular Insights account
  • Fields mapped on the operation

Process - Web

  1. Log in to Granular Insights for Canada at https://ca.insights.granular.ag
  2. In the Field List on the left navigation menu, click on the field that you would like to assign a farm name to.
  3. Click Edit Field at the top right corner of the field navigation window. Click on the drop-down menu under the title Farm Name to select your desired farm. If the farm name does not appear on the list, click Add New Name, type the name of the farm and click Save
  4. Click Save Field at the bottom of the Edit Field window to save the farm name for that field.
  5. Your farm name will now be displayed below Field Name, beside the acreage for your field on your Field List and on the field details pane when viewing a field.

Process - Mobile

  1. Log in to the Granular Insights mobile app.
  2. In the Field List, select the field that you would like to assign a farm name to.
  3. Select the 3_pontos.JPG icon on the top right corner of the screen to open the Field Options. Click on Edit Field.
  4. Select the current farm name for the field. If the field does not currently have an assigned farm name, this will show as "Unassigned". Select the desired farm name from the list. If the farm name does not appear on the list, you will need to use the web version of Granular Insights to add a new farm name to the operation.
  5. Click Save Field at the bottom of the Edit Field screen to save the farm name for that field.
  6. Your farm name will now be displayed below Field Name, beside the acreage for your field on your Field List.
