Add Field Plans

Field planning has never been easier. In Granular Insights, you can enter field plans that can be quickly referenced all season long on the web or mobile app!

You can select from over 100 different crops to assign to your fields and can enter detailed field planning for corn, soybeans, canola, wheat, alfalfa, sunflowers, sorghum and cotton. This includes setting the crop, planned seed product, seeding rate and seed treatment. Field planning is not available for fertilizer or crop protection.

 

Process – Web

1. Log in to Granular Insights for Canada at https://ca.app.granular.ag.
2. Click Field Plans on the left navigation menu.
3. Select the operation that you want to add field plans for.
   
   Note:
   • To filter down further to specific fields, you can select a year and crop. You can also filter to specific farms/field or varieties by clicking on Filters. If you are making selections in Filters, ensure you click Apply Filters to save them.
     
     
      
4. Click Assign Crop under the Crop column to assign a crop to a field if one is not already assigned and click Apply.
5. In the Actions columns, click Edit Plan to add the field plan details.
6. Enter the product, seed treatment (optional) and seeding rate. The number of units needed will be calculated automatically based on what you have entered for the product details. You can also add crops/varieties in bulk.
   
   Notes:
   • When adding varieties to a field plan, Pioneer field team members will see the varieties categorized with statuses for a quick inventory reference
   • Units will calculate automatically using the product area and seeding rate entered
     • As you adjust the rate, the calculated units will also adjust. If you manually enter an amount for the units, it will no longer be adjusted as the rate is adjusted
        
7. Click the to save. To close without saving, click the .
   
   Notes:
   • If you need to edit a field plan, click Edit Plan , make the necessary adjustments and click the to save.
   • To add a variety, click Edit Plan. Click Add Variety and to add the details. Click Save.
     • If multiple products are placed on the field, you will be able to adjust the Product Area
     • You cannot exceed the boundary area when planning products but you are able to under plan
       
       
        
   • To clear the entire plan for the field, click on the kabob under the Actions column. Click on Clear Crop Data. Click on Clear to confirm request.
     
     
      

 

Add a Crop/Variety in Bulk
 

Add a crop or varieties to a field plan in bulk, similar to map based planning.

1. Follow steps 1 through 4 above.
2. Select the fields that you want to add the crop or varieties to.
3. Click Edit Plan in the bulk action menu at the bottom of the screen.
   
   
    
4. Select the crop to assign to the fields. If you already have a crop assigned and you want to add varieties, click Add Variety.
   
   
    

5. Click Save.

    

Map Based Planning

You can access map based planning directly from the Field Plans page. Click Plan in Map on the top right of the screen to access the Map page. 

 

Planned Summary

To view a summary of what is planned for the operation, click Plan Summary on the top right of the Field Plans page. You will be directed to the summary tables in the Field Data tab. You will be able to view the summary by product or by field.
