Threat ID FAQ
Quickly and easily identify threats impacting your crops using the Granular Insights mobile app.
What threats am I able to identify?
Threat ID can identify diseases, pests and nutrient deficiencies impacting your crops.
What best practices should I keep in mind when taking a picture of a threat?
- Hold your mobile device about 10" (25 cm) away from the plant and ensure the image isn't blurry.
- Ensure that there is adequate lighting for a clear image and avoid shadows.
- Focus on one single threat for your picture.
What do I do if the disease, pest or nutrient deficiency I am observing isn't included in the list of identifiable threats?
If you've identified a threat that isn't currently a part of our model and would like to see it added:
- Confirm the threat with your Corteva Agriscience agronomist.
- Send photos of the threat and a brief description of your crop and threat to our support team.
We will escalate the request to the product team for consideration in the model.
What should I do if the result I receive says "Unable to recognize threat"?
There are a couple of reasons why you may receive this result.
First, ensure you are following the best practices to capture an image as outlined above.
Please send a picture of the threat and the message you received to our support team so they can look into the issue further.
Why did Threat ID return a result of "Healthy" for my image?
Threat ID will return a result of "Healthy" if it determines that the image provided was of a healthy plant. Note: Threat ID identifies threats impacting your crop and will not identify separate plants (i.e. weeds) as threats.
I don't agree with the Threat ID results I received. What should I do?
If you receive a result that you feel is inaccurate, please share the picture of the crop and a screenshot of the result returned with our support team. Please include an explanation of the discrepancy so we can work to improve our threat detection model.
