Create a Map Based Field Plan

Enter field plans directly on a map to easily visualize and plan efficiently.

Field plans can be quickly referenced all season long on the web or mobile app!

You can select from over 100 different crops to assign to your fields and can enter detailed field planning for corn, soybeans, cotton, canola, alfalfa, sorghum, sunflowers and wheat. This includes setting the crop, planned seed product, seeding rate and seed treatment as well as adding a yield goal.

Process – Web

  1. Log in to Granular Insights for Canada at https://ca.app.granular.ag/.
  2. Click Map on the left navigation menu.
  3. Select the operation that you want to enter a field plan for.

    Note:
    • To filter down further to specific fields, you can select a year and crop. You can also filter to specific farms/field or varieties by clicking on Filters. If you are making selections in Filters, ensure you click Apply Filters to save them

  4. Select Planning as the Map Mode on the right, above the map.

  • Field crop assignments are easily visible. Each field will be identified with the crop’s distinct colour (example: corn = yellow, soybeans = blue, etc). The legend will identify which crop is which colour. Fields with an unassigned crop will be grey

  • You can also access map-based field planning from the Field Plans tab. Click Add Plans in Map on the top right

  • In the Planning Map Mode, you can quickly view historical crop rotations data for the field, on the field list
