Manage Data: Upload Error "Clock is out of sync"

 

Issue: Attempting to upload machine data and get an error message “It looks like your system clock is out of sync, please check your settings.”

Reason: We utilize AWS servers and their security system requires the computer's clock to have the correct time.

Solution:  Sync clock and retry the upload.

 

How to sync the clock settings on your PC

  • Right-click on the date and time in the bottom right-hand corner of the computer screen

  • Select “Adjust date/time"

  • Select “Synchronize your clock”

  • Retry uploading dataset
