Satellite Imagery FAQ

Q: Who can enroll operations to receive imagery?

A: Members on the operation that have an Advisor role can enroll operations for satellite imagery.

Q: Will I have access to historical imagery?

A: All operations enrolled in imagery should have access to the past two seasons of imagery within seven days of enrollment. (If images are missing, contact support.)

Q: Where can I view imagery?

A: Imagery is available on the website and mobile application.

Q: How much time will image processing take?

A: Once an operation is enrolled, imagery will start processing within 24-48 hours. It may take up to seven days for imagery to appear on your operation.

Q: How many operations can I enroll in imagery?

A: There is no set limit of operations that an Advisor can enroll in imagery. However, only operations that will find value in imagery should be enrolled.

Q: How many images can we expect per month?

A: Imagery availability is dependent on the weather. Therefore, it will change based on specific regional weather. You could see operations with one or two images per month while some operations might have one or two images per ten-day period.

Q: Why does my imagery look different on mobile than on the website?

A: Mobile applications utilize scaling and smoothing features to increase the compatibility with different device screen sizes whereas the website does not have this requirement.

Q: Why is there an imagery off-season?

A: Image frequency and quality is not high enough for continued imagery during the months of November to March, due to weather and the angle of the sun during those months. All historical imagery will remain available during the off-season period, with regular images resuming in March.
