Adding field boundaries using geographic coordinates
Overview
Add fields to your operation using geographic coordinates to view your historical and in-season satellite imagery in order to track field conditions and make informed management decisions.
Requirements
- An active Granular Insights account.
- Active internet or cellular connection.
Process - Web
- Login to the Granular Insights website.
- From the Fields list in the left navigation menu
- Select Add Field.

Enter the geographic coordinates into the Search bar in the upper right corner using the format of latitude, longitude.
- Use an online converter if the coordinates aren't already in decimal format.
- Select or draw the field boundary.
- Enter a field name in the left navigation menu
- Select Save Field.
Process - Mobile
- Open the Granular Insights mobile app.
- Select the icon and select Field from the action menu.

Enter the geographic coordinates into the search bar using the format of latitude, longitude.
- Use an online converter if the coordinates aren't already in decimal format
- Select the field boundary
- Select Next.
- Enter a field name, select a farm name (optional), select a crop type (optional)
- Select Save Field.
