Getting Started: Frequency of Satellite Imagery in Granular Insights
Imagery can take up to 48 hours for capture images to become available in Granular Insights. Our team is working tirelessly to reduce image processing time.
For newly mapped or edited field boundaries, it can also take up to 48 hours for historical imagery to process.
How many field images do I get per week?
You can expect high frequency images from Granular Insights, depending on cloud coverage and weather conditions. Multiple images are captured at high frequency and processed through several algorithms to ensure only the highest quality images are delivered to you, and if an image has greater than 5% cloud coverage, it will be identified in the app alongside a cloud icon.
When are the in-season images of my field taken and are they taken at the same time each day?
Granular Insights uses in-season images captured from the world's largest constellation of satellites at ~3m resolution between 10AM and 2PM each day. Even though the satellites orbit the Earth every 90 minutes, we will only use images taken between approximately 10AM and 2PM to take advantage of peak sun angle and deliver only the highest quality images.
