How do I use the Notes and Photos feature?

Overview

Team collaboration has never been easier. Utilize the notes and photos feature to capture geolocated notes and pictures while you’re scouting your fields. Share with your agronomist, seed rep, or team members for more efficient scouting.

Requirements

• An active Granular Insights account.
• Active internet or cellular connection. 
• Fields uploaded to your operation.

Web - Process

1. Log in to Granular Insights at https://us.insights.granular.ag. 
2. In the Field List, click on the field that you would like to add the note.
3. Select the Notes icon  at the top right corner of your screen to add a new note.
4. Place your cursor on the exact spot on the map where you want to add the pin for your note.
5. Add a title (optional) and message to save with the pinned location.
6. Select Share to send the note and photo via email (optional).
7. Click Save to save the note.

Mobile - Process

1. Log in to the Granular Insights mobile app.
2. In the Field List, select the field you would like to add the note to..
3.  Select the Add icon + at the bottom right corner of your screen and tap Note from the action menu.
4. Drag the pin shown on the map or select use current location to mark the location of the photo taken then select Next.
5. Add a title (optional) and a message to save with the pinned location.
6. Click the icon to add an image to your note (optional). You can use the camera on your mobile device to take a picture or upload photos from your photo gallery. You can add up to 8 photos for your note.
7. Select Save to save your pinned note to the field.
8. To share the note with a member of your team, click on the pin to open the note and select the icon. From here, you can send a PDF of the note or direct link to the pinned note by text message, email or any other messaging app on your device.

To add a note from the Notes list:

1. Log in to your Granular Insights mobile app.
2. Open the navigation menu and click on Notes. 
3.  Select the Add icon + at the bottom right corner of your screen and tap Note from the action menu. 
4. Select the field that you would like to add the note to. Click Add to Field.
5. Drag the pin shown on the map to the exact place where you would like to add the pin for your note and click Next, or if you are out scouting the field, select use current location to mark the location for your note.
6. Add a title (optional) and text to the note.
7. Click Add Photo to add an image to your note (optional). You can use the camera on your mobile device to take a picture or upload photos from your photo gallery. You can add up to 10 photos for your note.

8. From here, you can send a PDF of the note or direct link to the pinned note by text message, email or any other messaging app on your device.
