How can I utilize Planet Base Maps to draw more accurate boundaries?
Base maps from Planet Labs provide an additional layer of context when adding or editing field boundaries. The base maps are informed by high frequency images at a 3-meter resolution collected by the largest constellation of satellites that is commercially available.
Our default base maps (Google for web and Mapbox for mobile) can quickly become outdated since it can be years between visual updates. Planet base maps provide a more current picture of the terrain, allowing you to draw more accurate field boundaries.
