Getting Started: Profit and Total Cost Map Layers
Quickly see what's working, field by field, and which acres are holding you back using the profit and total cost map layers. These layers combine planting and yield data with local revenue and cost estimates to create a map of field-level profitability in minutes. The financial map layers that are now available in Granular Insights includes Profit, Revenue, Total Cost and Seed Cost.
All you need to get started is to upload yield data. Planting data can also be uploaded to generate seed cost but is not required.
Customize your profit map to the way you farm
Easily adjust the default cost estimates to better reflect your operation and apply those settings to all of your other fields.
Know how your fields stack up
Quickly view which fields are performing and which are holding you back. Navigate to the Summary tab, select the year and crop you’re interested in, then sort your fields based on Profit, Revenue, Cost or Seed Cost.
For John Deere Farmers: Analyze profitability in the Operations Center
If you run Deere equipment, you can view your financial map layers right in the John Deere Operations Center, so you can analyze all in one place. To enable this functionality, simply head to the Data tab in Granular Insights to create the two-way data connection to the John Deere Operations Center.
From the John Deere Operations Center, easily edit your cost estimates by selecting the 'edit Prices in Granular Insights' hyperlink in the left side bar to edit the prices directly in Granular Insights.
