Reprocessing of Small Autogenerated Fields
As of February 19, 2021, boundaries smaller than 0.75 acres were reprocessed and reassigned to a field boundary. Small "sliver fields" were created in Granular Insights in early 2020 due to the automatic boundary generation logic used at that time. The logic has since been greatly improved, but the small "sliver fields" remained. Additionally, the one-time data reconciliation of field boundaries between Corteva and Granular late last year sent these small fields over to Corteva tools.
This update applies to all Granular Insights operations with boundaries smaller than 0.75 acres that were created by Granular Insights' automatic boundary generation when uploading field operations data. This excludes hand drawn, CLU, manually uploaded boundaries, or boundaries imported from Corteva. If a Granular Insights operation was connected with other Corteva tools through the Corteva Granular connection, the sliver fields that had previously been transferred over have now been removed in Corteva tools as well. Any field operations data associated with these small fields will be re-processed and re-linked to a field boundary if one exists.
