Manage Pivots for your Operations

 

Create pivots within an operation to use to create irrigation layers.

 

Process - Web

1. Log in to Granular Insights at https://us.app.granular.ag.
2. Click Map on the left navigation menu.
3. Select the operations that you want to add a pivot for.
4. Click the pivot icon on the top left of the map.
5. Click Add a Pivot.
   
   
   
   Note:
   • You can also create a pivot by going to Manage on the top right if the Map tab, select Manager Pivots and clicking Draw Pivot. Then follow steps 6 through 11.
     
     
      
6. Enter the pivot name and select whether you want an irrigation layer to be generated with the pivot.
   
   
    
7. Enter the center pivot details (latitude and longitude, direction of the pivot and if the pivot is a full circle).
   
   
   
   Notes:
   • To get the latitude and longitude to enter, you can right click on the center of the pivot and it will give you the values
     
     
      
   • If it is not a full circle pivot, you will be required to enter the starting and ending angles
      
8. Enter the length information (system length and gun reach(optional)).
   
   
    
9. Once you have entered the desired parameters, click Save Pivot.
   
   
    
10. Your pivot will save and the irrigation layer generated (if selected).
    
    Notes:
    • If you did not generate the irrigation layer when creating the pivot, you can go to Manage on the top right if the Map tab, select Manager Pivots and click the edit (pencil) icon beside the pivot you want to update. Make the desired changes and click Save Pivot. If an irrigation layer was generated with the modified pivot, the layer will also be updated to reflect the changes. You can also generate irrigation layers for all the pivots at once by clicking Generate All Irrigation Layers
      
      
       
    • If you want the pivots to show on the map, go to Map, click the pivot icon , and toggle on Show pivot boundaries; they will show on the map with a teal circle until you zoom and then the pivots will be white on the map
