Field Plans & Field Data: Changes for the Upcoming Planning Season

Map & Field Layers: View Neighboring Fields

Mobile: Search Operations and Fields

Product Area Now Available in Field Plans

You can now allocate acres by product directly within Field Plans using the new Product Area feature.

When multiple products are added to a field, planned acres are initially distributed evenly across all products. Product acres can then be adjusted as needed, provided the total planned acres do not exceed the field boundary acres.

With Product Area, you can:

  • Allocate acres by product directly in Field Plans
  • Maintain visibility into how products are distributed across a field
  • Continue using the acreage-based planning workflow previously available in Field Data

Units are automatically calculated based on the entered Product Area acres and seeding rate.

Other Changes to Field Plans and Field Data

We've improved the Field Plans experience with enhanced responsiveness and additional flexibility, including the ability to show or hide Seed Treatment and Yield Goal columns.

As planning capabilities continue to expand in Field Plans, planning is no longer available in Field Data. Crop protection and fertilizer planning are also no longer available in Granular Insights.

Field Data is now focused on recording, editing, and calibrating completed field activities and machine data. Existing planning records remain visible, and field plans can still be completed in Field Data to create completed planting activity records.

View Neighboring Fields on the Map and Field Layers

You can now view neighboring fields directly on the Map and Field Layers experiences.

Previously, you needed to return to the field list to switch between fields. With this update, neighboring fields remain visible on the map, providing additional context of surrounding field boundaries and making it easier to navigate between fields.

Search Fields & Operations on Mobile

A new search bar is now available on the Granular Insights mobile application in the Fields & Notes screen. As you type, results on your Map, Field or Notes tabs are instantly filtered. Search supports partial name matches and even works when offline, making it faster to find the fields and operations you're looking for without needing to scroll through long lists.
