Supported Crops

Corn, Soybeans, Canola and Wheat

You can bring in planting/seeding, harvest and application data, both planned and actuals, to Granular Insights in several ways. Data can be brought in by establishing a connection with an OEM (John Deere Operations Center, Case IH AFS Connect and Ag Leader AgFiniti Essentials) or by manually uploading the data file. Detailed field plans (variety, seeding rate and seed treatment) can be entered from a map view (planting only) or through Activities. Share high-level or detailed planning reports with your team or advisors. Take field planning a step further by generating Variable Rate Seeding (VRS) recommendations for your customer for better agronomic and economic results by optimizing the seeding rate on every acre thereby maximizing performance (only available for corn and soybeans).

For in-season analysis of your fields, use imagery, notes and photos and the yield estimator tool. Your Pioneer sales representative can enrol your operation to view imagery throughout the growing season. Imagery is a helpful tool for you to identify potential areas of concern in the field, allowing you to make better field management decisions. Use geolocated notes and photos to capture and share field observations while out scouting fields. Use yield estimator to quickly get an idea of potential yield for your field (only available for corn).

For further analysis of your fields, organize your agronomic data and generate customized reports to dive deeper into product performance. Gain valuable insight into what worked and what didn’t, allowing you to make informed agronomic decisions field by field, improving operation management and enhancing overall farm efficiency. On the map layers, you can use the lasso tool to focus on specific parts of fields, for a more in-depth analysis. Compare layers side by side to get a closer look at how agronomic decisions impacted performance.

Alfalfa, Cotton, Sorghum and Sunflower

Alfalfa, cotton, sorghum and sunflower data can be brought into Granular Insights through a wireless data connection with an OEM (John Deere Operations Center, Case IH AFS Connect and Ag Leader AgFiniti Essentials). The planting, harvest and application activities can be viewed in Granular Insights, helping you to track product placement and performance of these crops.

Optimize operation management using Granular Insights as one collaborative system of record for detailed field plans. Set the planned seed variety, seeding rate and seed treatment, enter your crop protection activities to capture work done on the farm and track you harvest plans to help keep your yield goals top of mind.

Make operation management decisions during the growing season by analyzing your fields with the aid of imagery and share observations while out scouting, with notes and photos.

Other Crops

For crops not listed above, you can assign the crops to fields, enabling you to visualize the product placements on field maps and in Activities.  Having the ability to add crops to fields and being able to visualize the product placements can help with future field planning and crop rotations.
