Create a Field Layer
Make better product recommendations and dig deeper into product performance results with field layers in Granular Insights.
Process – Web
- Log in to Granular Insights for Canada at https://ca.app.granular.ag.
- Click Map on the left navigation menu.
- Select the operation that you want to create the field layer for.
- Click the layer icon
beside the field where you want to add a layer.
- Click Add Layer in the field layers window and select Create Layer.
- In the Create Layer window, enter a name for the layer and select the layer type. Click Continue.
Layer Types-
- Irrigation – represents the irrigated area of a field; analysis can use this layer to inform the irrigated vs dryland yields of fields
- Trial – defines one or more attributes to be tested on a field or to plan and execute a trial
- Generic – for additional layers with assigned attributes

Note:-
- If there is any missing information that is required, you will not be able to save the layer. A warning will show in the Create Layer window. Click on View Details to see what is needed to be able to save.

- Edit the area using the drawing tools on the left side of the map or update the attribute in the attributes data table by clicking Expand Attributes at the bottom of the map. Learn how to edit field layers. You can also add a new attribute by clicking + Add Attribute on the right of the attribute data table. If any edits are made, click Save to save the edits to the attributes.
- Click Save at the bottom of the Create Layer window. You will now see the new layer in the Layers list.
