Export a Variable Rate Seeding (VRS) Recommendation

Once you have created your VRS recommendations in Granular Insights, you will need to export it for your specific monitor. This can be done wirelessly to your John Deere Operations Center or manually by downloading the recommendation and importing it to your monitor.

In Granular Insights, you can export recommendations for a single field or for multiple fields at once. You can also select if you want to only export the primary plan for a field or if you want to export backup plans as well.

Process – Web

  1. Log in to Granular Insights for Canada at https://ca.app.granular.ag.
  2. Click the VRS tab on the left navigation menu.
  3. Select the field(s) to export.
  4. Click the kabob menu  on the right of the field row for the field to export a VRS recommendation for. Click Export Recommendation.

    Note:
    • You can also select multiple fields at once. The bulk action menu will become available at the bottom of the screen. Click Export VRS.

  5. Click the dropdown under Select Machine Type and type or select the machine type you want to export the recommendation for.
  6. Select the Delivery Type for the download. The recommendation can be emailed, downloaded or sent to your John Deere Operations Center.
      • If you select Email Files, enter the email address(es), subject line and an optional email message. An email will be sent to all recipients with a link to download the export files.
      • If you select Download Files, exports will download to the folder specified in your browser settings.
      • If you select John Deere Operations Center, you will need to log in to your John Deere Operations Center account. Go to Files under More.  You will see your uploaded recommendations that you can select to download. The file name will show as results.zip.

      Note:
      • You will be required to enter the conversion for seeds/lbs for each variety

  8. Select Only export primary varieties if you only want to export the recommendation for the preferred product for this field. If you want the export to also include some or all the backup plans, leave the toggle unselected.

  10. Click Export. Once completed, it will be delivered by the method selected in Step 7.

    Note:
    • Once a VRS recommendation has been exported, it can be downloaded from the Downloads tab. Click the kabob menu  on the right of the export you want to download.
