Edit Variable Rate Seeding (VRS) Decision Zones Using Field Layers

 

Refine your VRS Decision Zones using Map Layers to modify or add polygons or to simplify shapes to better align with the field’s variability.

 

Process – Web

  1. Log in to Granular Insights for Canada at https://ca.app.granular.ag.
  2. Ensure that the decision zones are created in VRS in order for them to be able to be edited in Field Layers.
  3. Click Map on the left navigation menu. 
  4. Select the operation that you want to edit a decision zone for. 
  5. Click the layer icon   beside the field that has the zone to be edited.
  6. Navigate to the layer to edit the decision zone for and click it.
  7. Click the Edit dropdown and click Edit Layer.



  8. Use the drawing tools to modify the shapes.
    • Merge – use to create a new combined shape from the selected shape
    • Split with a Line – use to split selected area into new shapes
    • Split with a Shape – use to split selected areas into new shapes
    • Punch – use to cut and merge a new shape over a collection of shapes



  9. Once you have made the desired modifications, click Save.



  10. Decision Zones will now be updated to be able to use for VRS recommendations.
